Assisted Living that Gives Back

A Community Reaching Out To Help Others

So often people say they don’t have the time to volunteer. Older age offers the perfect opportunity to give of yourself to help others. Numerous studies have shown that active and engaged older people remain in better physical and mental health and are less prone to depression because of the sense of accomplishment they gain from helping others.

What People Are Saying About
Middlewoods of Farmington

A Community Reaching Out To Help Others

All the members of Middlewoods of Farmington, residents and staff alike, fundraise and plan for our annual participation in the American Cancer Society’s “Relay for Life”. In the months leading up to the full-day event, residents work alongside staff to come up with creative ways to raise money. Together they will make and package such goodies as chocolate-dipped Oreos and pretzels which the residents and staff sell outside of the local grocery store. The main fundraising event comes in the form of a community-wide Pasta Supper. Residents, families, staff and members of the local Farmington community join together for an evening of food, fun and raffle prizes!

It certainly is in giving that we receive! Middlewoods of Farmington is a strong and closely knit community because we are joined together by the act of giving to those in need. A community that reaches out to help others also helps enrich itself. All the residents and staff at Middlewoods of Farmington epitomize our Mission; to provide services that support health, independence, and dignity through a relationship-centered philosophy which best sustains body, mind, and spirit. Each and every day our staff care from their hearts about our residents, not because it is their job, but because it is their calling in life.
