News

Middlewoods of Newington Family Day Fiesta(Newington, CT) August 29th, 2016 – Staff, residents, family members and friends of Middlewoods of Newington Independent and Assisted Living Community gathered together for a Family Day fiesta on Saturday, August 13th . The annual Family Day event, coordinated by the Middlewoods team, features a different theme each year and is a celebration of family and friendship within the community. This year’s fiesta included a Mexican buffet prepared by the Middlewoods dining services team and entertainment by Fiesta Del Norte, a strolling mariachi band. Festivities also included a margarita stand, plenty of sombreros, and an appearance by the Middlewoods mascot, Woody the Bear.

“We love Family Day!” said Stacy Kesl, Executive Director at Middlewoods. “It truly is a celebration of family and friendship. We love coming together with all of our residents and families and making memories with them. We are so blessed to be part of their lives.”

Middlewoods of Newington is located at 2125 Main Street in Newington and offers independent and assisted living with a long tradition of award-winning care and service. The community is owned and operated by UMH, a local, mission-based, not-for- profit organization based in Shelton, Connecticut.
