Bishop Wicke Short Term Rehabilitation Center

One of the Values of United Methodist Homes is Excellence. It is very important to us that we provide the highest quality of care and survey our patients and residents to find out how we are doing. The results of the Bishop Wicke Health Center Short-Term Rehabilitation survey last quarter were stellar! Bishop Wicke is a five-star rated rehab and long term care facility in Shelton, CT that is part of the United Methodist Homes Assisted and Independent Living communities.

Bishop Wicke Health Center practices a relationship-centered approach to care for short and long-term rehab care, hospice and palliative rehab. We offer consistent caregivers and tray-less dining for a more home-like atmosphere. These are just a few of the great things about the Bishop Wicke Health Center.

“There are not enough words to say thanks to the therapy staff. They all have such a strong goal to help each other and every one of us that need them so much. I know I still have a long way to go and it will take time. The most important thing is that your staff got me this far and I will not give up on myself. Again thanks to all of you.”

About Elizabeth Bemis

In 1998, I drove past an assisted living community construction site, learned that it was part of United Methodist Homes and realized the next stop on my professional journey was to work for a mission driven organization. Soon after, I joined the team as Executive Director of our Middlewoods of Farmington community and later served as Regional Manager for the Middlewoods properties before accepting my current role as Vice President of Marketing, Promotions, and Assisted Living Operations. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, reading, walking, and love working alongside our staff, residents, and families to build strong communities that reflect the mission, vision, and values of United Methodist Homes.
