Assisted Living Communities Celebrate Mother's DayIn honor of Mother’s Day Assisted Living and Independent Living Communities are hosting several different events for all of the mothers within the community. Mother’s Day recognizes mothers, motherhood and in general the positive contributions they have made to their families and society.

At United Methodist Homes, we are celebrating in several ways at all of our communities. At Middlewoods of Farmington, we are displaying mother’s day photos on our lobby table, as well as gathering around our country kitchen table to share our favorite stories of motherhood and hosting a fabulous mother’s day meal for our mothers and their families with special entertainment. At Bishop Wicke, we are hosting a mother’s day “Tea for Two” celebration for mothers and their loved ones.

All of our communities have special events that will be hosted throughout the weekend in honor of all the beautiful mothers in our community. They have all touched our hearts in one way or another and we want to honor them for all of their strength, love and support throughout their lives. Therefore, we are wishing all mothers a very happy mother’s day.

About Elizabeth Bemis

In 1998, I drove past an assisted living community construction site, learned that it was part of United Methodist Homes and realized the next stop on my professional journey was to work for a mission driven organization. Soon after, I joined the team as Executive Director of our Middlewoods of Farmington community and later served as Regional Manager for the Middlewoods properties before accepting my current role as Vice President of Marketing, Promotions, and Assisted Living Operations. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, reading, walking, and love working alongside our staff, residents, and families to build strong communities that reflect the mission, vision, and values of United Methodist Homes.
