Wesley Village Senior Living Community in Shelton, CT welcomed residents, staff, and families at their Annual Spirit Renewal on Wednesday, September 11, 2013. The community event was held at Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center and featured an interactive and engaging musical performance by percussionist, Mark Zarillo.
Reverend Jim Stinson, Director of Spiritual Life for United Methodist Homes, organized the Annual Spirit Renewal as an uplifting opportunity for residents, staff, and families to connect with one another and experience of sense of community and togetherness.
The event has been happening on the Wesley Village campus for 12 years and has featured different elements of music and arts as part of the community experience, with the hope that participants can find inspiration or encouragement for their spiritual lives. Residents and staff from Crosby Commons and Wesley Heights Assisted Living Communities also joined in the celebration, filling the newly renovated skilled nursing pavilion at Bishop Wicke.
