Celebrating Eight Weeks of Reading with Middlewoods of Farmington

News

Reading_Buddies_SizedFor the past eight weeks, residents of Middlewoods of Farmington Independent and Assisted Living Community became “Reading Buddies” for several kindergarten students from Noah Wallace School.

Every Thursday afternoon, residents would meet with the young students for 30 minutes and the kindergarteners would read to the residents as part of a learning and literacy experience.

Residents were thrilled to be able to get to know the students and share in their learning. To celebrate the end of their eight week program, residents threw a pizza party for the students and their family members on June 2nd, as a way to say thank you and enjoy some fun and games together before the end of the school year. Pictured in the photo are Middlewoods of Farmington residents, Noah Wallace kindergarteners, and their teacher, Carma Aleixo.
