We are delighted to share some exciting news with you! Christian Negron, a member of the Middlewoods of Newington team, has been selected by the Connecticut Assisted Living Association (CALA) as a 2017 award winner.
Christian Negron was honored at the 22nd Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner and presented the 2017 Humanitarian Award. This award is presented to one individual whose personal integrity, decency, and contributions to the elderly best exemplify the ideals of CALA and who serves as an inspiration to all.
Christian Negron joined the Middlewoods of Newington team in October 2015 as a driver. Over the past 2 years, Christian has become an exemplary team member and is known as the “Yes I can” employee. He has worked in our transportation dept, dining dept, and is now our full-time housekeeper. He is the type of employee who gives so generously of his time and his heart, with a gentle smile and the most infectious laugh of any employee in the whole community. Christian is quite versatile and helps out in every department, displaying a calm and can-do attitude. He shares a hearty laugh with everyone and his smiles are abundant throughout his day. He takes on extra shifts to ensure that the residents’ needs are met in both the Dining and Transportation departments, and is willing to offer help anytime.
Christian has grown during his time here and has built relationships with residents and staff alike. Everyone knows they can count on Christian and he will give everything of himself to make sure that the job gets done, and done well. Christian takes great pride in being a member of the Middlewoods family, and touches the lives of our residents each and every day.
Because of employees like Christian, our assisted living residents never feel the bumps in the roads; their world here is uninterrupted by staffing issues and they enjoy a pleasant environment! We are proud of Christian for being awarded this prestigious and most deserved honor.
