The residents of Middlewoods of Farmington celebrated a special holiday this week – not just the Fourth of July, but also National Postal Worker Day! The residents of the award-winning senior living community wanted to do something special for the Farmington postal team and recognize the hard work and dedication they provide Middlewoods of Farmington on a daily basis.
Ginny Brown, Director of Community Outreach at Middlewoods explains, “Our residents look forward to with Joe Tenore, our mailman, stopping by every day. He knows all of our resident’s names. His energy and enthusiasm are contagious and they love chatting with him.”
To show their appreciation, the community packaged 30 to-go breakfasts for the Farmington postal workers, including a muffin, yogurt, grapes, a snack bar and water as well as coffee. The meals were prepared by residents and delivered to the post office. Resident Grace Crooks passed out breakfast to the postal team and thanked them for their service to Middlewoods.
